Tri Nguyen and Ngo Thanh Van is a romantic couple.
For me, this film has many beautiful and attractive scenes. The social background is ancient Vietnam. The colonialist regime used feudal mandarins to rule over villages and towns ( The ancient Hoi An town).Moreover, the real love originates from motherland love.
I have watched this movie over 8 times. This is a great victory of Vietnamese film. ( noi it thoi chua nguoi khac noi nua chu)

I see this movie just one time. It's the first "vo hiep" movie made in VN and I also heard that there' re many praise from Chinese audience. It's really good.

"The Rebel" is really an intersting film! Unlike other films, which are running after the market tendency with normal love and emotion, The Rebel blew a new wind into Vietnamese films and the audience! Love is built from patriotism! Lovers have to live and fight for freedom, independence and happiness of their country fisrt, then they look after their own happiness! That's so great!!! However, the "hot scene" in this film somtimes makes many people unsatisfied! Anyway, this is just a small problem in the big success of The Rebel!
